Where would I be without my Elba? I asked myself that many times during the planning of my Fall, 2010 wedding at Privileges Aluxes in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. From the very start, Elba made it clear that she would support me in any way to ensure my wedding was a success and stress-free.
Because I was planning a destination wedding from afar, Elba and I corresponded over email and Skype. She made herself available frequently (especially in the weeks leading up to the celebration) to speak about wedding details. It was clear she was an expert in this space, as she had terrific ideas and suggestions for everything from food, to flowers, hair & make-up, photographers to the music and entertainment. And she always had such positive energy, as could be felt through our written and Skype correspondence.
Planning an intimate beach wedding, my primary goal was for the celebration to be comfortable, relaxed and a lot of fun. Elba ensured this vision became a reality. After arriving on the island,Elba greeted me immediately and reviewed our plans for the next few days. Together, we took care of final planning details very efficiently, ensuring I could spend the most time possible with my family and friends. On the day of the event, everything was set up perfectly and Elba ensured the wedding party and guests knew where to be and what to do. She then presided over the ceremony (so it could be translated to English); it was very fun having her be a part of this! She stayed through the reception to make sure everything came together. I'm a fairly organized person and pretty good with details; but on a day that seems to fly by, I couldn't imagine not having an extra support system in place to make sure I could focus on enjoying the experience and savoring the memories.
It's clear Elba loves what she does. She is passionate, hard-working, a great communicator and fun. She brought a lot of extra joy to my planning experience and wedding day. Thank you Elba!
