Isla contoy must-do tour

This 5.2 miles long island known as Isla Contoy is located in the State of Quintana Roo, right at the junction of the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 8 miles north of Isla Mujeres.



While your vacation and specially if you stay at Isla Mujeres, the Contoy tour is a MUST.
Be aware that only tour companies with permission to bring guests are allowed and also
important to know that only 200 daily visitors are allowed.



Departing from Isla Mujeres and one to two hours duration, You will be amazed by this experience:
visiting the most important nesting location of sea birds in the Mexican Caribbean
in a surface area of over 300 hectares, this nature reserve island is home to 100 species
of birds, including pelicans.

What to do on the island:
Enjoy natural beauty or habitat of the many species of wildlife in an uninhabited island
Visit the Contoy island museum and the viewing 65 ft high tower
Tour the island with a resident expert biologist
Snorkeling , exploring and swimming in the beautiful water (wild stingray, shells, and tons of fish)
